The Banner Saga lands on Android
If you are into Role-playing games, you must know of The Banner Saga already. It’s got a 9 on Steam and a 4/5 on Metacritic. The Viking-themed game has finally made its way to the Play Store.
Launched in February last year, The Banner Saga has won The Best Indie Game award for its PC version. It’s also one of the good things to come out of Kickstarter – the developers set a target of $100k, but eventually accumulated well over $700k over the course of the pledging period.
Coming back to the gameplay – The Banner Saga is set in the Nordic landscape – you get to play with 25 characters across classes, and thankfully, there are no IAPs letting you cheat your way out of difficult situations. That should make the game a lot more interesting. The result is that the game is priced at $11.99, but considering the effort that goes into these games nowadays, it’s quite good.
