Asus launches ZenPad 3 8.0 with Snapdragon 650
Asus has launched the unlocked version of the Asus Zenpad 8, dubbed as the ZenPad 3 8.0. The Zenpad 8 was released in June for US carrier Verizon.
The tablet runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with ZenUI 3.0 on top. The device features a 7.9 inch 2K IPS display with a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
The device is powered by a 1.8GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 processor with Adreno 510 GPU. It comes with 2 / 4 GB of RAM and 16 / 32 GB of internal storage. The internal storage on the device can be expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card. Asus is also offering 5 GB of Asus Web Storage and 100 GB of Google Drive Storage.
The ZenPad Z8 features a 8 MP primary camera and a 2 MP front camera. The device features dual front-facing stereo speakers offering DTS-HD sound.
The Z8 is powered by a 4680 mAh battery. Connectivity options on the device include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, Glonass and USB Type-C port.
