Asus has added the Zenfone 3 Max to their “Make in India” product portfolio. The mobile will be manufactured in Asus’s production facility at Union Territory of Daman and Diu. The production will start from December 2016. Following Zenfone 2 Laser and Zenfone Go, the Zenfone 3 Max will be the third mobile to be made in India.
Commenting on the announcement, Peter Chang, Region Head – South Asia & Country Manager for ASUS India said, “Besides our headquarters, Taiwan, India is amongst the most important markets for us and we are constantly looking to strengthen our presence and operations in the country. We are excited to announce another smartphone that will be manufactured locally, apart from Zenfone 2 Laser and Zenfone Go. India is on its way to becoming a world leader in mobile phone manufacturing and we are proud to contribute to such a dynamic economy.”
The Zenfone 3 Max comes in 2 variants. The 5.2 inch variant, ZC520TL and the 5.5 inch variant ZC553KL are completely different mobiles. You can read my review here.
