Asus Zenfone 2 launched in India starting at INR 12,999
Asus has launched the Zenfone 2 in India, three months after showcasing it at the Consumer Electronics Show earlier this year. Asus Zenfone 2 will be available via Flipkart exclusively at a starting price of INR 12,999, the company announced today.
Asus announced four variants today – two come with 2 GB RAM and two with 4 GB RAM. Asus is offering a different set of choices with the Zenfone 2. Apart from the common features which are mentioned below, here is a simple breakdown of the differences between the four variants.
Starting off with the 2 GB variants – the Zenfone 2 ZE550ML – comes with a 5.5 inch display in two resolutions – 720p and 1080p. There is a quad core Intel Atom Z3560 processor with 2 GB RAM and 16 GB internal storage in this model. The first variant with a 720p display costs INR 12,999 and the second variant with a 1080p display costs INR 14,999.
The two 4 GB variants, called the Zenfone 2 ZE551ML – come in two versions – 32 GB and 64 GB internal storage. The 32 GB version costs INR 19,999 and the 64 GB version costs INR 23,999. There is a quad core Intel Atom Z3580 processor inside and 4 GB RAM to keep multitasking as smooth as possible.
Apart from the aforementioned differences, the four variants announced today have the following features in common – dual SIM dual standby with 4G LTE support, Android 5.0 Lollipop with Asus’ Zen UI on top, 13 MP camera with LED flash on the back and a 5 MP camera on the front. All the four phones come with a 3000 mAh battery to keep them running throughout the day.
Asus Zenfone 2 can now be pre-ordered from Flipkart, with tentative delivery date set at 7th May. The four variants will be available for purchase generally from May 4th.
