ASUS take on Apple Macbook with ZenBook Pro UX501 ultrabook
ASUS ZenBook Pro UX501 is the brand new ultra portable notebook that is made to take Apple’s new Macbook head on. The beautiful UX501 is powered by Intel Core i7 processor, GTX960M GPU and comes with stunning 4K resolution Ultra HD touch screen display with 10 point multi touch. ASUS will provide 1 year international warranty for UX501. While UX501 is powerful under the hood, the UX501 shell has spun-metal finish with diamond-cut highlights and brushed metal surface add brilliance. UX501 runs Windows 8.1 operating system and is priced at $1799.
Intel Core i7-4720HQ processor can hit 3.6GHz and users can add upto 16GB of RAM to feed data to the processor. Thanks to Nvidia GTX 960M, feeding content to 4K resolution UltraHD display is a walk in the park. The 512GB PCIe x4 SSD can reach transfer speeds of 1400MB/s complements the CPU, GPU and RAM well. Users can also add a 1TB HDD. Coming to display, the 4K resolution display is an IPS panel display with 100% sRGB color gamut and 72% NTSC gamut. The touch screen has 10 point multi touch support.
Coming to ports, there are three USB 3.0 ports (that also supports fast charging), 1 HDMI port, 1 mini Display Port, 1 Thunderbolt port (optional), 1 SD card reader, 1 COMBO audio jack.
