ASUS announce new Transformer Book Chi Series at CES 2015
ASUS has announced new addition to Transformer Book series, a new sub-series named Transformer Book Chi. The new series consist of 8.9” T90 2-in-1 convertible, 10.1” T100 Chi and a 12.5” T300 Chi, all powered by new Intel Core M series processors. All three variants come with WQHD 2560×1440 resolution giving breathtaking clarity. In fact, the 8.9” is the lightest and one of the best Windows tablet we have seen in a while. And its made much better thanks to the compatible keyboard dock. In terms of build quality, the all-aluminum design gives great strength to the Chi books.
While T90 is the thinnest 8.9” tablet (is just 7.5mm thick), the T100 Chi is the world’s thinnest Windows tablet and is just 7.2mm thick. T300 on the other hand is just 1.65cms thick when docked and that is thinner than Apple’s MacBook Air. The diamond cut edge and metallic body make the Chi books look absolutely gorgeous. The hinge on 2-in-1 books has magnetic hinge mechanism (noedymium magnet) and is optimized so that docking and undocking can be done using one hand. The keyboard is ergonomically designed and is connected by Bluetooth. The keyboard has a range of up to 20 metres.
Coming to multimedia, ASUS has included SonicMaster audio technology in Chi series to provide superior audio quality providing immersive sound quality that is powerful and distortion free. Other features include USB 3.0 connectivity, Active Sytlus Pen support.
