Apple starts “Free on iTunes” section, giving away music for free
Apple has given away a music single here and there for quite some time now, much like Google. Although the latter has mostly been more generous, sometimes giving away albums, Apple hasn’t been as kind. That’s changing now, though.
Apple has started an altogether new section called “Free on iTunes”, giving away music and movies for free. Not only that, the Cupertino is also giving away episodes of different TV shows, mostly pilots, but this could be expanded as well. The company is giving away episodes from different shows across networks.
Currently, there are about 24 singles and 24 TV episodes in the Free on iTunes section. We don’t know yet if Apple will refresh this on a weekly or a monthly basis as it’s still not officially official. Also note that this is currently limited to US-only, so you’ll need a US iTunes account to be able to make good of this offer.
