Apple announce new Magic Mouse, Trackpad 2 and Keyboard
Today, Apple has announced successors to the highly acclaimed Magic Mouse, Magic Trackpad and Magic Keyboard. The new Magic accessories are available at Apple.com, Apple’s retail stores and select Apple Authorized Resellers. Magic Keyboard is available starting today for $99 (US). Magic Mouse 2 is available starting today for $79 (US). And the Magic Trackpad 2 is available starting today for $129 (US). The biggest change of all is for Trackpad. The new Magic Trackpad 2 comes with pressure sensitive Force Touch. New Apple Magic keyboard now comes with scissor mechanism beneath each key that was first introduced in 2015 MacBook Pro.
The new Magic Trackpad 2 comes with built-in battery, moving away from AA size battery requirement for original Trackpad. The Trackpad 2 also has edge-to-edge glass surface area that is 30% larger than the original’s. It will be interesting to see how good the ‘Force Touch’ is with Trackpad 2 for day-to-day usage.
