Angry birds for Windows Phone updated, available for free till May 15
Angry Birds is one of the most downloaded applications on iOS and Android and it took really long time for thea pplication to head to Windows Phone. And yet, the WP variant couldn’t run on devices with 256MB of memory. This week, Rovio and Windows Phone team announced an update for the application.
The updated application gets 100 extra levels and more importantly, the game is free till 15th of May. Unlike previous versions, this version will work on Windows Phone 8 devices with 256MB of RAM. Some, like us are still wondering why Rovio is developing the very first version of Angry Birds when many better variants are there that are better w.r.t detail and gameplay. “The reason why we’re re-releasing the game is that it will be technically easier for us to support in the future, so we’re really happy to get this out there!” Rovio writes. Still, it doesn’t explain clearly why Rovio is delaying the recent variants of Angry Birds.
