Amazon Echo line up gets great new devices

Amazon Echo lineup of smart home devices are well known throughout the world. Amazon has just announced a major upgrade to Echo lineup and brought in new lineup of devices. The new devices include Echo Dot, Echo Plus, Echo Show, Echo Auto. With Echo Auto, Amazon is targeting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Echo Dot is priced at just $49.99, Echo Plus costs $149.99, Echo Show is priced at $229.99 and Echo Auto price is not yet announced. Amazon has also announced Echo companion devices. Echo Dot, Echo Plus, and Echo Show are available for pre-order and will start shipping next month. Echo Auto is available by invitation and will start shipping later this year. New Amazon Echo Dot

New generation Amazon Echo Dot has a new fabric design and more powerful sound. The new design has curved shape. Echo Dot is now available in Charcoal, Heather Gray, Sandstone color options to match more environments. New Echo Dot is little more compact, yet, plays music louder and richer. Put an Echo Dot in every room to ask for information or the weather, play your favorite music in a multi-room music grouping, set timers and alarms, and control compatible smart home devices.

Amazon Echo Plus

The new Amazon Echo Plus comes with Zigbee smart home hub and is compatible with many smart home devices. Just say, “Alexa, discover my devices,” and Echo Plus will automatically discover and setup compatible lights, locks, sensors, plugs, switches, and more without the need for additional hubs or apps. Echo Plus now has built in temperature sensor to setup temperature based routines.

New Echo Plus comes with a larger 3” neodymium woofer, better back volume, strong bass and clearer mids/highs. Echo Plus  also features an all-new fabric design and is available in Charcoal, Heather Gray, and Sandstone.

Amazon’s Wi-Fi simple setup is available with new Echo devices and can easily connect with compatible smart devices connected to your Wi-FI network. All you need to do is power on the smart device and it will recognize and connect your device to your Wi-Fi network using a Wi-Fi password that you have saved in your Wi-Fi Locker.

Amazon Echo Auto

Amazon Echo Auto (amazon.com/echoauto) is Amazon’s answer to Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Echo Auto comew with an eight-microphone array, designed for in-car acoustics. This helps the device easily pick up your voice commands over music, other noises. Echo Auto is powered by car’s 12V power outlet or USB port. You can use a 3.5mm audio cable or Bluetooth connection to connect the device to car’s stereo system. Echo Auto connects to Alexa through the Alexa app on your smartphone.
