Altair Semiconductor will be part of Sony Corporation

Altair Semiconductor, LTE chipset maker will be soon be part of Sony Corporation. Sony is expected to pay $212 million and complete the acquisition in early February. Given how LTE usage is spreading and how Internet of Things is gaining ground, this is a very good acquisition by Sony and will give them a distinct advantage over competition. Altair products are known for low power consumption and high performance.  Once the formal clearances are done, Altair Semiconductor will be part of Sony Corporation.
