Alienware gaming notebooks are now VR ready
Celebrating 20th anniversary of Alienware brand , Dell has announced the first ever VR ready Alienware notebooks. Powered by Intel Core i7 processors and running Windows 10 OS, the new Alienware 17, Alienware 15 and Alienware 15 come with powerful VR capabilities and optional Tobii eye tracking. All the models will be available for same in coming months (price and launch region detail is yet to be shared).
The first brand that comes to mind when someone says ‘powerful gaming laptop’ is Alienware. Formed in 1996, Alienware has been creatng some breathtaking gaming PCs and notebooks. The new VR ready models are powered by Nvidia GeForce GTX 10-series GPUs (matching desktop class graphics performance on notebooks).
Powered by Intel Core i7 CPU and Nvidia GeForce GTX1080 GPU, the Alienware 17 comes with a 17.3” display. Alienware has moved to hinge-forward design and the 17 is thinner than previous 17” models. Alienware 17 supports Windows Hello facial recognition (for login/security). You just need to look at the laptop to unlock. Other features include new speaker design with smatr-amps.
The Alienware 15 on the other hand gets Nvidia GeForce GTX1060, a 15.6” FullHD display with 120Hz refresh rate. The display has 300 nits brightness, anti-glare coating and Nvidia G-Sync support for smooth frame rate. Buyers will get option to go with a 4K resolution IGZO panel LCD.
Alienware 13 has a 13.3” display and a Nvidia GTX1060 GPU. The Alienware 13 has eight programmable lighting zones with up to 20 distinct colors.
