[CES 2017] Alcatel A3 XL With 6″ Display, Android 7.0 Nougat Launched

Alcatel A3 XL is the latest smartphone to be launched with Android 7.0 Nougat at CES 2017. The new phone comes with a massive 6 inch display and is powered by a quad-core Mediatek processor. The Alcatel A3 XL is said to be priced around $300 and will be made widely available over the next two quarters.

The Alcatel A3 XL comes with a 6 inch HD IPS LCD display. At 1280 x 720 pixels on a 6 inch display, you get a pixel density of ~247 PPI. The phone runs on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box, one of the most important talking points of the device.

Coming to the processor, the device comes with a 1.25 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT8735B processor and Mali T720 GPU. The phone comes with 1 GB RAM with the internal storage fixed at 8 GB. It can be expanded using a microSD card up to 32 GB.

The Alcatel A3 XL comes with an 8 MP camera on the back, assisted by a single LED flash. On the front, the phone comes with a 5 MP camera for selfies and video calling. The front camera also comes with an LED flash.

In terms of connectivity, the A3 XL comes with dual SIM, 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS and FM Radio. The phone is powered by a 3000 mAh battery and features a regular microUSB 2.0 port.

Pricing And Availability

Alcatel is reported to launch the phone around the $200 mark. It will be made available in Asia Pacific, Middle East, Latin America and Africa in the first quarter of 2017. Europe will see the phone in the second quarter this year.
