Airtel now accepting booking for the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G in six cities
Airtel and Xiaomi have tied up to sell the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G via the carriers stores. Today marks the beginning of this sale.
India’s leading operator, Airtel, has begun rolling out its 4G network in phases, testing it with the iPhones first. Beginning today, the company will be providing 4G with the Redmi Note 4G in circles where it has upgraded its network. In total, however, the company has begun accepting bookings in six cities – Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi-NCR, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Mumbai, which happen to be the most important cities for Airtel in terms of marketshare.
Airtel requires you to be an existing Postpaid customer to purchase the Redmi Note 4G. If you’re an existing Airtel customer, you can go ahead and book yours’ at airtel.in/mi. If you’re on Postpaid, you don’t have to do anything extra. If you’re on Prepaid, you will have to convert to Postpaid at the time of purchase.
I’ve just booked one and the process is quite smooth. Airtel even lets you choose the pickup date and the store you want to pick it up from, so that’s quite nice, too.
The Redmi Note 4G costs Rs. 9,999.
