Acer Predator 21X notebook has 21″ curved display, dual GTX1080 GPUs and eye tracking
Acer Predator 21X is now the most wanted notebook that not everyone can buy or use. Predator 21X comes with dual Nvidia GeForce GTX1080 GPUs set in SLI, a mechanical keyboard but the biggest feature is the massive 21” curved display. Yes, you read it right. This one has a 21” display. Powered by (yet to be announced) 45W+ Intel 7th Generation Core processor for gaming, the Acer Predator 21X will not be released anytime soon.
Even by the looks, the Acer Predator 21X looks massive. Dual Nvidia GTX1080 cards and monster 21” display does add lot of weight to the notebook, not to forget massive cooling needed to keep those monster cards running without overheating. Acer has added five fans and multiple heat-pipes to keep the temperature under control. Gamers can add multiple M.2 and 2.5” storage drives. The display has 2560 x 1080 pixel resolution and supports Nvidia G-Sync (dynamic refresh rate tech) for smooth game play.
Another unique feature of the Acer Predator 21X is the Tobii infrared eye-tracking sensors built into the display.
Eye tracking is a sensor technology that enables a device to know exactly where your eyes are focused. It determines your presence, attention, focus, drowsiness, consciousness or other mental states. This information can be used to gain deep insights into consumer behavior or to design revolutionary new user interfaces across various devices.
There are four integrated speakers with two built in sub woofers. In short, this is a mobile gaming nd multimedia power house. The keyboard has Cherry MX mechanical keys with five programmable buttons. Acer has managed to add a numeric keypad but the keys are not mechanical keys. Those who does not need the numpad can flip it to reveal touchpad. There are two USB Type-A ports, USB Type-C port, audio in/out, two Displayports, one HDMI port.
