Acer Chromebook R13 is worlds first convertible Chromebook with 13.3″ display
Acer Chromebook R 13 is the industry’s first convertible Chromebook with a 13.3” display. Made by Acer, the new chromebook runs Google’s Chrome OS and has a 360 degree hinge to setup the notebook in various modes (tent, laptop, tablet, presentation etc). Powered by MediaTek M8173C CorePilot™ quad-core processor, the Acer Chromebook R 13 gives 12 hours of battery life and will get support for Android apps soon via the Google Play store. The Acer Chromebook R 13 will be available in North America in October with prices starting at $399; and in EMEA in October with prices starting at €399.
“The 13-inch touch display is large and vibrant, so it’s ideal for anything from homework and spreadsheets to games, video and fun apps, said James Lin, General Manager, Commercial & Detachable Notebooks, IT Products Business at Acer. “Plus, up to 12 hours of battery life means our customers can use it at school or work and continue using it into the evening for activities like homework and watching movies.”
