[CES2015] Acer upgrades Aspire R 13, Aspire S7 and Switch 12 with new Intel Core processors

Acer, at CES 2015 event, announced that the Aspire R 13 convertible notebook and Aspire S7 Ultrabooks will get upgraded to  5^th generation Intel Core processor. The new models with 5^th generation Core processors will be available in January in markets across the world. The update will make these products get better cpu and graphics performance and better battery life.  Apart from the processor upgrade, Aspire R 13 and S7 will get 802.11ac wireless standard chip for high speed Wi-Fi transfer.

Acer has also announced processor upgrade for Aspire Switch 12 2-in-1 laptop. Thanks to the processor upgrade, the Switch 12 now has 8 hour continuous video playback battery life, thanks to reduced power consumption. Switch 12, thanks to the fanless design is super quiet. Powered by Windows 8.1 operating system, users can transition between notebook, tablet, pad, display, tent and desktop using the unique kickstand design and magnetic latch-free detachable keyboard. Switch 12 is compatible with Acer Pen input.
