Acer C720 is worlds first 4th gen core i3 powered Chromebook
Acer, the leader in Chromebook market share, has announced over the weekend that the C720 Chromebook laptop running Google’s Chrome OS will be powered by fourth generation Intel Core i3-40005U processor (1.7 GHz, 3 MB L3 cache). The upgraded C720 will provide 8.5 hour long battery life. To be frank, we are interested to know how much of performance advantage this new CPU will attain as Chrome OS, in general is extremely light on resources. The new models will be on sale soon. Acer C720-3404 will have 4 GB of memory and will be priced at $379.99, while the Acer C720-3871 will have 2 GB of memory and will be priced at $349.99.
