Acer Aspire One Cloudbook is an affordable Windows 10 laptop
Acer has announced the advent of cheap and affordable Windows 10 laptops with its Aspire One Cloudbook series. Dubbed as Cloudbook, the two new laptops from Acer come with Windows 10 and a 1 year subscription of Office 365.
Acer announced two models under the new Cloudbook sub-brand – a 11 inch model and a 14 inch model. Both the Cloudbook laptops come with an Intel Celeron processor, 2 GB RAM and a screen resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. The difference lies in the internal storage – the 11 inch model comes in 16 GB or 32 GB versions, cutting it really close for the Windows install. The 14 inch model comes in 32 GB or 64 GB versions. You get the regular USB ports, LAN port, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and a microSD card expansion slot.
Those specs are not going to blow your minds away, but Acer does not intend to do so anyway. These entry level laptops will start at $169 for the 11 inch version and $199 for the 14 inch version. Acer has also announced that all buyers will get 1 year Office 365 Personal subscription and 100 GB to 1 TB of OneDrive storage – also for an year – depending on the model.
