Go to Settings -> SIM cards and mobile networks
Click on ‘set data plan’.
click on ‘Mobile data limit’.
click on ‘Peak data limit’. Enter what the monthly data quota will be for your phone. Set data usage warning level between 75% and 85% so that you get to know in advance when you are nearing data limit.
You can also set daily data limit (helpful for those on networks like Jio where there is a daily as well as monthly data limit. Once the daily data limit is reached, you can let the phone turn off mobile data.
Sometimes we do purchase extra data pack if we end up using data quota early. In such cases, you can add the amount of data you purchased by clicking on ‘Additionally purchased data’.
