ASUS Zenfone 3S Max : How to block calls and SMS for select numbers

Most of the time during day or night, we do not want to attend to unwanted calls. These days, we get a huge number of spam messages from vendors (sale, offers etc). Even though you add your number of national DND registry, the spam wont stop. Setting up call and message blocking is one ideal way to make sure that only those who you prefer to contact you (call/sms) at any given point of time can reach out to you. ASUS ZenUI’s blocklist feature helps you to setup a list of numbers that cannot disturb you. Open Settings -> Call Settings.

If you want to block any call from unknown numbers and from private numbers, Open ‘call blocking settings’

You will now see option to block unknown calls and/or private calls. Select the required settings and you are good to go.

If you want to block only specific numbers:

Open ‘Block List’ in Call settings.

By default, the list will be empty. To add new numbers, click on ‘+’ sign at the bottom right side.

You can now select from your contacts list, recent call logs or you can manually add a number.

For some numbers, you may only need to block calls and not SMSes. In such case, once you add a number to block list, click on the number.

You get option to either block both calls and SMSes or to block calls only. The last option is to remove the number from block list.
